Ingredients

  • 3/4 pound ground beef
  • 2 tbspns olive oil
  • 1/2 medium onion (diced)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 3/4 cup uncooked white rice
  • 1 can diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1/4 tspn oregano
  • 1/2 tspn chili powder
  • 1/2 tspn cumin
  • 1/4 tspn salt
  • 1/8 tspn black pepper
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
Instructions
  1. Use a large skillet and medium heat, cook ground beef until browned.
  2. Put olive oil into a frying pan, saute onions for 3 minutes.
  3. After that, add the garlic and rice, stir until the rice is browned, add ground beef, oregano, chili powder, salt, cumin, tomato water, black pepper, then bring to a boil.
  4. Change the heat to low, then cover and simmer for 20 minutes until all the liquid absorbs.
