Ingredients
- 3/4 pound ground beef
- 2 tbspns olive oil
- 1/2 medium onion (diced)
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 3/4 cup uncooked white rice
- 1 can diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 1/4 tspn oregano
- 1/2 tspn chili powder
- 1/2 tspn cumin
- 1/4 tspn salt
- 1/8 tspn black pepper
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- Use a large skillet and medium heat, cook ground beef until browned.
- Put olive oil into a frying pan, saute onions for 3 minutes.
- After that, add the garlic and rice, stir until the rice is browned, add ground beef, oregano, chili powder, salt, cumin, tomato water, black pepper, then bring to a boil.
- Change the heat to low, then cover and simmer for 20 minutes until all the liquid absorbs.
